From May 4-7, 2023, Baha the Terrible (Alpha Race) will take place in the Chechen Republic. Participants on ATVs, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and cars will start the competition. The race has Russian Cup status in rally raids across the MFR and All-Russian competitions under the auspices of the Russian Automobile Federation. Athletes must overcome the 842 kilometer path.
The start of the competitive race will be given from the central square named after A. Sh. Kadyrov in Grozny, and high-speed special stages will pass through the territory of the Grozny, Shelkovsky and Naursky regions of the Chechen Republic. The prologue route along the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains with their legendary panoramic views promises to be particularly spectacular.
Alpha Race is the new name of the racing series from a team of experienced organizers who already organize the biggest Russian off-road and ATV races: Can-AmTrophy Russia, Can-Am X Race.
This year, the series is an entirely non-commercial event designed to support national off-road racing traditions. The expansion of the number of disciplines at the expense of motorcycles and cars makes it open to all off-road enthusiasts, with the exception, perhaps, of pedestrians.
For true rally-raid beginners, there is an exclusive Adventure Ranking. This is an introduction to rally raids and a quick start in racing. With the simplest rules and requirements, participants will be completely immersed in the world of off-road racing – extensive education and training, masterclasses, a real battle track, a charged atmosphere of a bivouac, acquaintance with athletes veterans, including winners and winners of the Off-Road World Series.
The shift will take place according to the principles of the third category rally. Here the important thing is not who is faster, but who will be able to cope with the task more accurately: to cover the entire course with a certain average speed, to finish as accurately as possible at the specified time , collect all the points on the special stages of the correct order. The length of the course for the Adventure credit will be just over 160 km.
There will be two races in total in 2023 as part of the Alpha Race series. The second will take place from September 7 to 10 in the Republic of Bashkiria.

The high-speed spectator stage will take place in the area of the village of Oktyabrsky (before the village you have to turn right on a gravel road, go around the village turning left, the start of the stage will be signaled by flags).
