The Mexican closed the gap on Verstappen in the overall standings
Pilot Red Bull Sergio Perez became the winner Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, who started from the first position, already at the beginning of the race was bypassed by both Red Bull pilots – Max Verstappen and Perez. Between them, the main struggle for victory in Baku unfolded.
Perez passed Verstappen and only increased the lead during the race. As a result, the Mexican won the second victory of the season. Verstappen finished second. Leclerc is third.
Verstappen remained the leader of the overall standings. Perez reduced the gap to 8 points.
The next round of the championship, the Miami Grand Prix, will take place on May 7th.
