Head of the Silk Way Rally Vladimir Chagin told that so far there has been no constructive dialogue about the return of the KAMAZ-master team to the Dakar Marathon in 2024.
KAMAZ-master missed the 2023 rally marathon due to the inability to sign the International Automobile Federation (FIA) questionnaire condemning the Russian special operation in Ukraine. The signature of this document is compulsory for the admission of Russian riders to participate in the Dakar.
— What say the organizers of the Dakar, will we see KAMAZ-master among the participants in the race in the new year?
– There is still no constructive dialogue. Everyone’s hands are tied because of the current situation in the world. The fate of sport today does not depend on the athletes.
