spanish motorcycle rider Mark Marquez of the Honda team fell on a warm-up race before the MotoGP Grand Prix of Germany, which takes place at the Sachsenring circuit.
Marquez, 30, lost his bike in the seventh corner, but was able to get up and, limping, left the scene of the accident. The press service of the competition organizers said that the Spaniard had a small fracture in his finger, but the athlete was allowed to run.
For Marquez, six-time MotoGP champion, this is the fifth crash of a stage: he had already left the track during the second free practice session, twice during the first qualifying segment, once during of the second. During the second practice session, Marquez collided with Frenchwoman Joanne Zarco’s bike, which knocked her off the track and her bike collapsed from the impact.
The MotoGP Grand Prix of Germany runs from June 16-18.
