Death of parents and nephew of legendary NASCAR driver’s wife investigated as murder-suicide

The details of the tragedy in the family of the wife of NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson became known.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced of the deaths of Chandra Janway’s parents and her 11-year-old nephew. All three died after a shooting at their home in Oklahoma.

The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide, according to TMZ Sports. Police tell the source that Chandra Janway’s parents, Jack and Terry Janway, and nephew Dalton Janway were found dead shortly after receiving a 911 call from a woman who reported a man with a weapon. on fire before hanging up. It has been reported that Terry is considered a suspect, but the motive is currently unknown. It is also not known if Terry was the one who called 911.

Police told TMZ Sports they found a body lying in the hallway after arriving at the scene, before hearing another gunshot from the house. Two other bodies were found and all three died of gunshot wounds.

In 2014, Janeway’s younger brother, Jordan, died while skydiving in Southern California. He was a skydiving instructor with more than 1,000 jumps and apparently hit another skydiver while practicing the maneuver and passed out before he could deploy his parachute.

Jimmie Johnson is a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.

Johnson and Chandra Janway married in 2004 and the couple have two daughters.
