On a wet track, another car crashed into the car of the Dutchman
Dutch racer Dylano van’t Hoff died in a crash at the Belgian Grand Prix of the European Formula Regional Championship by Alpine.
The accident occurred during a race at Spa-Francorchamps. On a wet track, the Dutchman collided with another pilot and lost control for a while. Due to the large amount of spray, the episode was not seen by another driver, whose car crashed into the side of Dilano’s car at high speed.
The 18-year-old Dutchman spent his second full season in the series. In the first year of his performance, he won the podium at the Grand Prix in Barcelona.
All ceremonial events at the race weekend of the Belgian circuit have been cancelled. The 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps competition, which is the headliner of the event, will begin with a moment of silence.
“We are so sad to learn of the passing of Dilano van ‘t Hoff today at Spa-Francorchamps.
Dilano died in pursuit of his dream to reach the pinnacle of motorsport.
Along with the entire motorsport community, our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
