The crew under the control of the Belarusian Alexei Vishnevsky of the orderMAZ‑SPORTauto won the first stage of the Silk Way Rally, which started on Friday.
Vishnevsky on the stage along the Kazan – Ufa route showed a time of 1 hour 37 minutes 45 seconds. Second place was taken by another MAZ‑SPORTavto crew, Belarusian pilot Sergei Vyazovich (lag – 27 seconds). Closed the first three Russians Edward Nikolaev of the orderMaster KAMAZ ” (+1 minute 15 seconds).
Last year’s Silk Road winner Dmitry Sotnikov (KAMAZ-master, +1.43) finished fourth. Other KAMAZ-master crews led by China’s Hou Hongnin (+3.29), Andrey Karginov (+4.44) and Sergey Kupriyanov (+6.34) finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.
The distance of the first stage special was 142 km. The Silk Road will last until July 15.
