Petrov, Sirotkin and Aleshin will return to racing at the wheel of prototypes

At the end of July, two Russian prototypes will start the four-hour race at Moscow Raceway.

Russian motorsport development program SMP Racing will field two crews in BR03 prototypes, which will take place on July 24 as part of the Russian Endurance Challenge race series.

The crew will include former Formula 1 drivers. Vitali Petrov and Sergei Sirotkin IndyCar series driver Mikhail Alessine and Viktor Shaitar, winner of the WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

After the race at Moscow Raceway, the Russian Endurance Challenge will feature three more rounds in the same format. On August 7, a stage will be held on the Igora Drive circuit near St. Petersburg, on September 24 – in Kazan and on October 23 – on the Sochi Formula 1 circuit. The decision on performance at the next stages of the series will be made based on the results of the July 24 race.
