The Argentinian MP Motorsport driver was on the podium in the second race of the weekend at the Hungaroring racetrack in Budapest.
Franco Colapintowith a unit from MP Motorsport, which ended in third place in the second race of the International Formula 3 weekendat the Budapest Hungaroring racetrack, within the framework of the same program that includes the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix.
The 20-year-old driver from Buenos Aires started in fourth position and managed to advance one place, to reach the 6s. 471/1000 from the winner, British Zak O’Sullivan (Prema Racing), another Williams Academy driver, who covered 19 laps in 31m. 27s. 598/1000.
The Pilar-born came from taking seventh place in the Sprint race held on Saturday, also in 19 laps.
So, the Argentine amassed his fourth podium of the 2023 season: second in Sakhir Sprint; Escort in the central competition in Barcelona and winner of the Silverstone race on Saturday (Sprint) are the previous occasions where he settled in the Top 3.
In second place, Colapinto maintained sixth position in the contest with 93 points; eight behind guard O’Sullivan and 51 behind the leader, Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident).
The next race will be at the traditional Spa-Francorchamps racetrack, in Belgium, between Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of this year.
