Aston Martin will return to Le Mans in 2025 with the Valkyrie hypercar

The new prototype from the British brand will take part in both of the most prestigious endurance racing series

Company Aston Martin officially confirmed her return to the race “24 Hours of Le Mans” in the hypercar class with a prototype racing car Valkyrie in 2025.

The model will reportedly be the first road car-inspired hypercar to compete simultaneously in both the world’s most prestigious endurance racing series, the FIA WEC and IMSA.

In addition, in 2025, the British brand will become the only manufacturer represented in all types of endurance racing, as well as in Formula 1.

In the current Formula 1 season, Aston Martin ranks fourth in the Constructors’ Championship after 16 stages, behind Ferrari, Mercedes and leader Red Bull. The team’s leading driver, Fernando Alonso, stood on the podium 7 times in 2023. In the individual standings, he is 16 points behind Lewis Hamilton, who is third.

In June 2023, the 100th anniversary 24 Hours of Le Mans race took place. It was won by the Ferrari team for the first time since 1965.
