The last MotoGP world champion has yet to renew his contract with Yamaha and is reviewing options.
At the end of this year Fabio Quartararo’s contract with Yamaha will expire and that is why the MotoGP pass market has changed.
Quartararo without renewal
Although Yamaha has tried since the winter in Europe to extend the agreement beyond 2022, the “Devil” decided to wait a few races this year to figure out the bike’s level and examine options for its future.
After four dates this year, it is not yet known if Quartararo will renew with Yamaha and in his recent statements it indicates that he is studying every part carefully. “I wouldn’t say that everything is possible, but you have to study the market,” the Frenchman explained in statements to the French media on Tuesday at the presentation of the MotoGP French GP.
“Now I’m thinking of the present”
He added: “My representative talked. I will have one with him when I feel I need to decide in the future. I have no idea when it will decide, but I know I am in good hands. Now I think about the present and if my agent takes care of it, I just have in mind to think about the 2022 season. ”
Finally, Fabio spoke about Yamaha’s performance: “We need to focus, not think too much about the machine and just think about scoring as many points as possible when we know we have a good chance”.
