Max Verstappen starts the race just behind two Ferrari drivers
Pilot Ferrari Charles Leclerc won the qualification Mexican Grand Prix. His teammate Carlos Sainz won second place.
Both Ferrari drivers were caught in traffic at the start of the third segment, but they managed to make the most of it at the very end. Leclerc set a time of 1:17.166 s, Carlos was 0.067 s behind.
Right behind the Ferrari drivers is the current world champion Max Verstappen. The top ten included Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Valtteri Bottas, Guanyu Zhou.
Failed to set a qualifying time, but Logan Sargent will be allowed to race. Racer Williams also received a 10-position penalty for violating yellow flag rules and his team will pay a €20,000 fine.
The Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix takes place on Sunday. The race starts at 22:00.
