Riders from the RPL, Ukraine, Afghanistan and Great Britain will participate in the Grand Tour category of the Silk Way Rally

Representatives from 17 countries, including Russia, the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Ukraine, Afghanistan and Great Britain, will take part in the Grand Tour classification of the Silk Way Rally Raid 2022, 20 crews have entered the race.

Representatives from Russia, Switzerland, Belarus, Cyprus, Serbia, China, Mongolia, LPR, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Italy, Israel, France, Czech Republic, Lebanon and Great Britain will take the start. They will perform on foreign SUVs and KAMAZ trucks.

Riders in the amateur Grand Tour category will run the competition parallel to the main rally route and finish at the bivouac with the athletes each evening. For the Grand Tour category, special tasks have been developed dedicated to studying the history of regions and the activities of Emperor Peter the Great.

Silk Road 2022 will be held from July 6 to 16 with a start in Astrakhan and a finish in Moscow. The total length will be 4380 kilometers, of which 2800 kilometers will be special stages.

According to the application for the race, 23 crews will participate in the SUV classification, 16 crews will start in the ATV classification, 9 crews will compete in the truck classification, 9 participants will participate in the motorcycle classification and 3 other athletes. will compete on mountain bikes.
