Mercedes driver Russell fined two positions after qualifying for Brazilian Grand Prix

Pilot “Mercedes » George Russell will lose two positions on the starting grid for the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix due to a fine, according to the racing series’ website.

The Briton was penalized for driving too slowly out of the pit lane and taking a bad position on the track. Riders received similar fines”Alpine » Esteban Ocon And Pierre Gasly .

Russell finished sixth in Friday’s qualifying, so he will start the race eighth. Ocon and Gasly will start the race 14th and 15th respectively.

On Saturday, the sprint qualifying and the sprint race will take place at the Interlagos circuit. Friday’s qualifying results form the starting grid for Sunday’s race.
