Early practice at the Las Vegas Grand Prix ended prematurely due to a broken manhole cover on the track.

The first tests for the Las Vegas Grand Prix (United States) of Formula 1 ended earlier than expected after the driver retired.Ferrari » Carlos Sainz reports the F1 press service.

The Spaniard’s car stopped on the track, after which red flags were hung. Earlier, Sainz damaged the car by going through a drainage hatch.

Upon inspection, it was found that the frame of one of the hatch covers in the first sector was damaged.

When practice stopped, which lasted about 10 minutes, another Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, was in the lead, Nico Hulkenberg (Haas) was in second place and Kevin Magnussen (Haas) was in third.

Second practice for the Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place later on Friday.
