Former Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin became the silver medalist of the stage of the Russian rally raid championship in the classification of all-terrain vehicles (T3).
The pilot who is part of the SNAG Racing team participates in the Silk Way Rally, the first three stages of which are combined with the gold of Kagan baja.
The award ceremony for the winners of the Baja “Kagan’s Gold” takes place on Saturday in Astrakhan.
Victory at the Russian Championship stage was taken by the crew of Armen Puzyan of the Nakusi Racing team. Mazepin and his co-driver Anton Vlasyuk lost 1 minute 18 seconds.
For Mazepin, participation in rally raids was his start in his career.
