Ukrainian karting driver, supported by the Favbet Foundation, became “Racer of the Year 2023”

Young Ukrainian karting driver Alexander Bondarev received the publication’s award Vroom Karting Magazine as the best international pilot of 2023. This and the previous seasons, the 14-year-old racer is supported by a charitable foundation Favbet Foundation.

Voting for the best pilot took place online on the publication’s page. The nominees included drivers who showed strong results during the season in the leading FIA Karting and Rotax competitions. Within four days Alexandra Bondareva 2,685 fans voted – significantly more than for their closest competitors.

In this season Alexander made a significant breakthrough in his career – he won the 2023 European champion title and became the first Ukrainian in history to be signed by the famous Formula 1 team Williams Racing. And all this is not against a serious background injuries from last yearwhich forced him to miss almost the entire competitive season.

“Congratulations to Alexander and his team! This season he showed the character of a true champion who does not give up on his goal, no matter what happens. We are happy that thanks to the Favbet Foundation, another star of Ukrainian sports is shining today.”,” commented the Favbet Foundation.

Favbet Foundation is a charitable foundation founded in 2020 to support initiatives for the comprehensive development of young Ukrainians. With the start of the full-scale invasion, almost 90% of the fund’s resources were reoriented to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces and citizens of Ukraine affected by the war. Today, the foundation’s team is also implementing a large project, “Superheroes Club,” which provides sports and educational opportunities for children of military personnel and IDPs.
