Pilot “KAMAZ-master” Andrei Karginov spoke about his performance in the seventh stage of the Silk Way rally-raid in the SUV category.

– A very difficult start, literally from the start it started to rain and apparently it had already wet the ground before us. We barely get into the bends, it was good that it wasn’t long, around ten kilometres. Then the track was dry all the way and we were riding with more confidence. 80 km from the finish, they saw Vasiliev’s crew standing. We pulled up next to it, the guys came up, said their gearbox was broken and told them to hang on to the finish line. We decided to help. Carefully, very reassured, we reached the finish line. We didn’t push, realizing that the guys behind were riding almost blind and any of our hard braking could cause an accident, so we drove very carefully, thinking of the crew behind us. At the Dakar, on the last day of the liaison race after the special, we also towed Vasiliev’s crew on the asphalt in tow through the whole city.
