The Formula 2had an intense day of testing at Circuit of Barcelonawhich includes among its protagonists the Argentine Franco Colapinto which is part of the MP Motorsport team. After the “retirement” of the 2018 F2 chassis produced by Dallara, in 2024 the category will be modernized with a new model, also built by the Italian house. These cars have completely renewed aerodynamics, aiming to improve the race and the safety of the drivers.
Pierre-Alain Michot, the technical director of FIA Formula 2, said: “There are still some things to fix before the first official day of testing, but that is normal.” Furthermore, he added. “With eleven teams, there are eleven different ways of working. It allows us to learn more about this car.”
