Argentine Superbike: He broke his rib, came back and climbed the podium

Learn about the story of Eduardo Zini, a motorcycle rider who recovered after an injury.

The 2022 season of the Argentine Superbike began in Bahía Blanca where great shows were watched. In the Stock Open category, the victory of the first event was in the hands of Christian “Batman” Ramírez, while second place went to Eduardo Zini.

“I’m at 90%”

The driver from Corrientes ran for the first time in Mauricio Mazarrón’s structure and was able to quickly adapt to the Bahian track to bring his car to the podium. “Mand he came very happy from Bahía Blanca. I don’t know the circuit, the team is new and that, added to the weather conditions, makes it a positive start to the year ”, commented Zini.

Regarding his physical condition after breaking five ribs in 2021, the man from Corrientes told Carburando: “I am almost 100% recovered. I had a rib that hurt because it was broken at the end and I had difficulty welding. I have a bit of discomfort, but I train a lot and that allows me to run at 90% ”.

And he added about the challenge represented by the first date. “I didn’t know the circuit and the first sessions were in bad condition. That kind of conditioned the set-up for the race. I started in fifth and in the first corner I was second. Ramírez made a change in us in the beginning, but I was able to secure myself in second place. I tried to keep the place and not make mistakes. The most positive thing was we lowered the racing time by 2 seconds compared to the qualifying time “.

Finally, about the expectations for what is to come, Zini pointed out: “I was excited about the start of the season. I would like to thank the team, Mauricio Mazzarrón, who went well and from the beginning we fully understood one’t one to work in the best way ”.
