The Formula 1 championship leader drove Gilles Villeneuve’s historic Ferrari 312 T4 at the Fiorano circuit.

Charles Leclerc, head of the F1 world championship, is in the news, either because his luxury watch was stolen or because he was testing historic vehicles of the highest category.
Aboard a historic Ferrari
The Monegasque driver had the opportunity to drive one of the most historic cars in the top category, Gilles Villeneuve’s Ferrari 312 T4.
In the run-up to the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, which takes place in Imola, Leclerc jumped on the Italian circuit of Fiorano, located just 90 kilometers from Imola.
The 312 T4 is the chassis used by Gilles Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter in the 1979 season from the South African GP. The 312T was a design by engineer Mauro Forghieri that Scuderia began using in 1975 and used for five years in its various evolutions.
This Ferrari model achieved six victories in 1979, three for Villeneuve and three for Scheckter. The Canadian won with him in South Africa, in Long Beach and in Watkins Glen. For his part, the South African Scheckter surpassed Villeneuve in the championship by four points
