The Russian Drift Series Grand Prix (RDS GP) goes on a Siberian tour – after two weekends in Moscow and a stop in Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk meets the drivers of the national drift championship. The city, rightly considered one of the symbols of Russian drifting, will this time host the masters of controlled drifting on the weekend of July 23-24. The stage will be dedicated to the memory of Andrei Naumov from Krasnoyarsk, RDS GP judge, who passed away this spring. For two days, the Red Ring track will become the Russian capital of drifting.
5 Heroes of Krasnoyarsk
The main plot of the 4th stage of the RDS GP-2022 will be the opposition of the Siberians. Among the leaders of the individual standings are five Krasnoyarsk pilots at once, for each of which the next stage will become home to one degree or another.
Forward Auto teammates Georgy Chivchyan and Leonid Schneider, BY Motorsport driver Dmitry Ermokhin, FailCrew leader Darkseid Arkady Tsaregradtsev (although declared Sochi driver) and, of course, this season’s leader, two-stage winner in 2022 Damir Idiyatulin ( SITNEC FRESH AUTO DRIFT) – each of the inhabitants of Krasnoyarsk will certainly try to win on the historical track.
And for Arkady Tsaregradtsev, the upcoming drift weekend will be another opportunity for the first time this season to step onto the podium. Unlike his compatriots-rivals, Tsaregradtsev has never been able to get on the podium for three stages.
Ivan Korneichik will perform again in RDS GP at home
For the second year in a row, local drivers appear in the starting lists of the GP RDS on the red ring, which regularly participate in the junior and winter drift tournaments, and in the Grand Prix RDS, they pass only one home stage Track.
In 2021, Leonid Schneider and Ivan Korneichik were noticed for unique performances in the RDS GP. And if the first became the driver of Forward Auto and spends the first full season in RDS GP, then the second is still confined to starts on the Red Ring.
Referee team
The composition of the RDS GP-2022 jury remains unchanged throughout the championship. The judges are RDS chief Dmitry Dobrovolsky and professional pilots Maxim Akhtyamov and Anton Novikov.
