The management of the Silk Road Rally changed the route of the 2024 race after a meeting with colleagues from Mongolia and China, the organizers’ press service reports.
As reported, the race will take place on the territory of the Russian Federation and Mongolia, and the route passing through the People’s Republic of China “will be implemented in 2025 on the initiative of the China Motor and Motorcycle Sports Federation “.
The distance of the marathon rally will remain the same – approximately 5,500 kilometers. As planned, the Silk Road will take place from July 5 to 15, while the sands of the Gobi Desert will remain on the rally route. The marathon stage will return to the race format, where crews will have to maintain their equipment independently without the help of technical support teams.
During the rally route presentation, which took place in November last year, it was announced that the race would take place across Russia, Mongolia and China, with a planned finish in Khorgos, China .
