This weekend, the Russian circuit racing series G-Drive will visit the capital of Tatarstan. The Kazan Ring Canyon circuit will host the Festival of Speed, which will feature 6 dynamic races performed by the best drivers from Russia, including Tatarstan, as well as a variety of activities for the whole family.
Five reasons to come to the Fête de la Vitesse on July 31 in the morning and to spend the whole day at the autodrome:
1. The race schedule will be tight enough to get the adrenaline pumping from 6 mass starts. Between two races, you can stroll through the paddock to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a motorsport festival, entertain the children in the company of animators, eat to your liking in one of the cafes or food trucks – and even stroll along the pit lane to touch real race cars and chat with their drivers.
2. Immediately 4 classes of G-Drive SMP RSKG will arrive at Kazan Ring. The most professional is Touring, where the new generation of 350 horsepower LADA Vesta fights with the Audi RS3 and Hyundai i30 N. with., the Subaru BRZ, Honda Civic and Volkswagen Scirocco brands are opposed. There are Frets in the 150-hp S1600 class: here the Grants do battle with Kia and Hyundai.
But in the CN Sport Prototype ranking there are no familiar brands – and in general it presents the most unusual cars created specifically for racing: “Shortcuts” created from the legendary Lotus 7, small copies of American and Russian models of the 30s and 40s Legends, as well as French MitJets, stylized as well-known brands.
3. Among the pilots, there are both world famous stars and novice pilots. And the athletes of Tatarstan claim leadership in two lags at once: Dmitry Bragin and Pavel Kalmanovich play for the Kazan teams in the prestigious Touring, Rustam Fatkhutdinov even leads the rating in the S1600 class.
4. Right there, in the Kazan Ring paddock, the Canyon Fest tuning salon will be held, where the most exotic cars will be presented. Improvements do not always contribute to race records – but all the more interesting is to get acquainted with the diversity of the tuning world.
5. Those who wish to race as a passenger in a racing taxi will be able to sit to the right of a professional driver after the races. And those who like to drive alone along the track will also be able to do this – and behind the wheel of the latest Russian sports prototype BR03! And let it only be in virtual reality, but the top performing sim racers will receive cash prizes from SMP Racing Esports.
Retransmissions of all the races will be broadcast on the TV channels of the group.
