Colapinto has revealed the tribute he will pay to Traverso in Formula 2

The young Argentine driver will remember Flaco in next Sunday’s race where his name will be written on the car he will be in.

Franco Colapinto will race this Sunday at the Imola Formula 2 Grand Prix, in what will be his fourth commitment of the year after competing in Sahkir, Jeddah and Melbourne, and will take advantage of the race to honor Juan María Traverso, after Flaco’s death last weekend.

The 20-year-old driver shared via his Instagram account that the car he will be with at the next Formula 2 date will have the surname of the emblematic Traverso. “For the sake of this weekend”Colapinto wrote to accompany the photo of the car he uploaded to his story.

The Argentine, who is part of the MP Motorsport team and the Williams Academy, said goodbye on Saturday, when he learned of the death of the multi-time national champion: “I’m so lucky to have met you and that you joined me in a very important conversation for me. Unique and incomparable. May you rest in peace, Flaco”the words he dedicated to her in another Instagram story, with a photo of a press conference where both Traverso and Colapinto were present.
