Ferrari drivers took 4th and 5th places respectively
Pilot Red Bull Max Verstappen won qualifying for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. The reigning world champion has won 7 of 7 pole positions in the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Verstappen led by 0.074 over McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. The third time was shown by the Australian’s teammate Lando Norris. Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were in 4th and 5th places respectively.
Also in the top 10 qualifying were George Russell (Mercedes), Yuki Tsunoda (RB), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Daniel Ricciardo (RB) and Nico Hulkenberg (Haas). Another Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez, was 11th.
Verstappen leads the overall Formula 1 standings, 33 points ahead of Perez. The main race of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will take place on May 19, starting at 16:00 Kyiv time.
