The agreement with the Mexican runs until the end of 2026
Racer Sergio Perez signed a new contract with the team Formula 1 Red Bull. The agreement with the 34-year-old Mexican runs until the end of 2026.
Perez joined Red Bull ahead of the 2021 season. Previously in Formula 1 he drove for Sauber, McLaren, Force India and Racing Point.
Sergio won five Grands Prix with Red Bull. In the 2023 season, the Mexican took second place in the overall standings, behind only his teammate Max Verstappen.
In the current Formula 1 season, Perez took second place three times at stages in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Japan. In the overall standings, the Red Bull driver is in fifth position, scoring 107 points after eight Grands Prix.
The next Grand Prix of the 2024 Formula 1 season will be held in Canada on June 9.
