Ferrari drivers showed the fifth and sixth times
Pilot McLaren Lando Norris became the winner qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. The Briton won pole position for the first time in the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Norris was 0.020 seconds ahead of three-time world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull. The third and fourth times were shown by Mercedes representatives Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, respectively.
Also in the top 10 qualifying were Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Pierre Gasly (Alpin), Sergio Perez (Red Bull), Esteban Ocon (Alpin) and Oscar Piastri (McLaren).
Let us remind you that Perez will lose three positions on the starting grid of the Spanish Grand Prix due to a violation of safety measures during the previous Formula 1 round in Canada.
Verstappen leads the overall Formula 1 standings, 56 points ahead of Leclerc. The main race, the Spanish Grand Prix, will take place on June 23, starting at 16:00 Kyiv time.
