Russian crew “KAMAZ-master ” governed by Eduard Nikolayev and the Belarusian crew of MAZ-SPORTauto Sergei Vyazovich achieved the same time to the nearest second on the second special stage of the second stage of the Silk Way Rally in the truck category.
Nikolaev and Vyazovich covered the 101.08 km special stage from Tomsk to Barnaul in 1 hour 6 minutes 3 seconds. Next set Alexei Vishnevsky (19 second lag; “MAZ-SPORTauto”).
The first special stage of the second stage, 79.14 km long, was won by Viazovich with a result of 51 minutes 31 seconds. Nikolaev was second (15 seconds behind), Vishnevsky third (1 minute 5 seconds behind).
The third stage with a 132.4 km special along the Barnaul – Gorno-Altaisk route will take place on July 7.
The Silk Road Rally crosses Russia and Mongolia and ends on July 15 in Ulaanbaatar. The total length of the race will be 5,243 km, the length of the special stages will be 2,992 km.
