Pilot “Mercedes » George Russell set the fastest time in the third free practice session of the 12th round of Formula 1 – the British Grand Prix, which is taking place at Silverstone.
The Briton’s fastest lap was 1 minute 37.529 seconds. Second was his team-mate and compatriot Lewis Hamilton (+0.035 seconds), third – the British driver of McLaren Lando Norris (+0.185).
Current champion and season leader Max Verstappen (Red Bull) set the fifth fastest time, losing 0.864 seconds to Russell.
Qualifying will take place later on Saturday and the race will take place on Sunday.
