Hamilton wins British Grand Prix, ninth win of his career on his home track

The race was held in difficult weather conditions.

Pilot Mercedes Lewis Hamilton became the winner British Grand Prixwhich took place at the Silverstone circuit.

Hamilton started second but managed to take his first victory since 2021 in a chaotic and rain-marred race. It was the 39-year-old’s ninth victory on his home track in Great Britain, the most ever for a driver to win a single Grand Prix.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished second, with McLaren’s Lando Norris third.

Also in the top 10 of the British Grand Prix were: Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Alex Albon (Williams), Yuki Tsunoda (RB).

Verstappen continues to confidently lead the overall Formula 1 standings with 255 points. Lando Norris is second with 171 points, and Charles Leclerc is third with 150 points.
