The Russian MAZ-SPORTauto crew under the control of Sergei Vyazovich set the best time of the fifth stage of the Silk Way Rally in the truck category.
Vyazovich covered the 296.2 km special stage along the Kosh Agach – Khovd route in 3 hours 7 minutes 3 seconds. The second place was taken by the crew of the KAMAZ-master under the control of Dmitry Sotnikov (+ 2.12), the top three was completed by another representative of the KAMAZ-master, Eduard Nikolaev (+ 3.21).
The sixth stage of the ring will take place in Khovd on July 10.
The Silk Road Rally crosses Russia and Mongolia and ends on July 15 in Ulaanbaatar. The total length of the race will be 5,243 km, the length of the special stages will be 2,992 km.
