NG-Energo Team Driver Andrei Rudskoy said that during the tenth stage of the Silk Way Rally Marathon, he smelled the onions growing all along the route.
The tenth stage of the Silk Road Rally on the Bayankhongor – Mandalgobi route ended in Mongolia on Sunday. Rudskoy took third place in the SUV standings.
— It was a beautiful stage, however, 18 kilometers before the finish, the tire punctured. Now there are two spare tires left. The scene is like our native Kalmykia. And there was a smell of onions all the way. Apparently, it grows in the fields. I smell a fresh smell, I thought one of us had eaten (laughs). In the highlands, the engine did not reach full power; we reached 165 km/h.
The windshield wipers were constantly working, I tried to turn them off, but visibility was poor. Today, the organizers tied ribbons on all the ravines, so they had no chance against us, “the correspondent reports, reporting Rudsky’s words.
The Silk Road Rally crosses Russia and Mongolia and ends on July 15 in Ulaanbaatar. The total length of the race is 5,243 km, the length of the special stages is 2,992 km.
