G‑Drive Racing Team Driver Romain Rousinov became the winner of the off-road vehicle category at the Silk Way Rally Marathon, a correspondent reports.
The eleventh stage of the Silk Road Rally Marathon, on the Mandalgobi – Ulaanbaatar route, ended on Monday in Mongolia. Rusinov won the overall standings, ahead of Dmitry Cherkesov. The bronze medalist of the race was Andrey Novikov (G-FORCE Motorsport).
For Rusinov, the victory on the Silk Road was the first in his career. The former test driver of several Formula 1 teams became a silver medalist in his first race in 2023.
The Silk Road Rally took place across Russia and Mongolia from July 5 to 15. The race started in Tomsk and ended in Ulaanbaatar. The total length of the rally was 5,243 km, the length of special stages was 2,992 km.
