The team’s management hopes to extend its cooperation with the pilot in another capacity
Pilot Haas Kevin Magnussen will leave the team at the end of the 2024 season when his contract expires.
“Given Kevin’s special relationship with the team, I hope we can find a way to continue working together in some capacity. We hope to determine this in the near future, but his extensive Formula 1 experience and knowledge of our operations will undoubtedly be valuable to our continued growth and development,” team boss Ayao Komatsu said.
The Dane drove for Haas from 2017 to 2020, before returning to the team in 2022. The 31-year-old has scored five points this season, while his teammate Nico Hulkenberg has 22 points.
It was previously reported that 19-year-old Oliver Berman will become Haas’ main driver in 2025. The main candidate for another place in the team is Esteban Ocon from Alpine.
Haas is seventh in the constructors’ championship. The next grand prix will be held in Hungary from 19 to 21 July.
