Max will lose 10 positions on the grid due to a previously imposed penalty
Three-time world champion in Formula 1 Max Verstappen won the qualification Belgian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman showed a time of 1:53.159. The second result was Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate, the Mexican, came in third Sergio Perez.
The top 10 also included Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri (both McLaren), another Mercedes representative George Russell, Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Esteban Ocon (Alpine).
Recall that earlier Verstappen was penalized ten places at the Belgian Grand Prix for using a new power unit in his car. Thus, the leader of the overall standings on the starting grid of the main race, which is scheduled for Sunday, July 28, will take 11th position.
