Agustín Canapino spoke exclusively with Carburando and said he is not closing the doors on a possible return to IndyCar.
After his separation from Hollinger Racing Juncos, Agustín Canapino will fight this weekend at Road Tourism. As soon as he arrived in the country, the pilot gave an exclusive interview to the specialized media Carbureting. There, the Titan confirmed not closing the doors to return to IndyCar.
“I’m not taking it down (the IndyCar blind), on the contrary. I’ll even tell you that this is the part that makes me sad the most because I’ve only finished tenth in the last two races. If you see how I started and how I am in just a year and a half, I am a different person or I am another pilot. Being in a small team, a new team, I qualified in my last two races and at a level that seemed impossible to me.
“Do you remember the first note that said I wanted to finish in three laps, but I wanted to finish? And we ended up at that level, the amount. So that’s the part that makes me sad. and then the sacrifice, which I assure you I have no way to describe the madness that I did and what I had to do to be able to live in a completely different country, a language that I don’t know, etc. That’s the part that makes me sad”.
“So, Obviously I left the door open to anything that could happen in the category. That for me is something that now does not existnow the focus is on getting back here, doing well and preparing for next year. But hey, in life you never know what can happen. I arrived yesterday so I don’t know what will happen tomorrow”.
