Franco Colapinto’s agreement with Formula 1
Franco Colapinto will premiere this weekend at Italian Grand Prix, held annually at the Autodromo de Monza. The 21-year-old driver will wear the number 43 and compete in Formula 1 for the nine races remaining in the 2024 season, replacing Logan Sargeant.
This Friday will start with free practice, aboard the Williams FW46 Mercedes, from 8:30. There will be a second session at 12, while on Saturday the third will take place before the classification. Find out the schedule, where to see it live and more.
The Italian Grand Prix, which will take place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, will be the Argentine’s first experience in a Formula 1 race, however, as last July he participated in the first free practices at Silverstone and finished in 18th place , in a car from the highest category of world motorsport.
The man from Pilar will be the second Argentine in Williams history, after Carlos Reutemann’s memorable pass.
