Pilot Ferrari Charles Leclerc became the winner Italian Grand Prix 2024native to his team.
The two McLaren drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris (winner of the previous Grand Prix and pole position holder at Monza), came in second and third, with a slight lag behind.
Fourth place went to another Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz. He was followed by Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull), the champion of the last three years and the current leader of the overall standings. The top ten also included: George Russell (Mercedes), Sergio Perez (Red Bull), Alexander Albon (Williams) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas).
Leclerc took his second victory of the season (after his home Grand Prix of Monaco) and the sixth in his Formula 1 career. The Monza track is the only one he has conquered twice.
The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held in Azerbaijan, with the main race taking place on September 15.
