Nazar achieved a historic achievement in the fight against the Dane Pedersen
Ukrainian Nazar Parnitsky won a historic gold medal at Junior (U-19) European Speedway Championshipwhich was accepted by the German Herxheim.
Based on the results of 20 races, Nazar scored 13 points – the same as the Dane Bastian Pedersen. The fate of the championship was decided in an additional race, which the representative of Ukraine carried out as confidently as possible and deservedly triumphed. Pedersen eventually took second place, with Poland’s Wiktor Przyemski third.
Parnitsky became the first Ukrainian speedway rider in history to become a world champion at the junior level. The closest to this success was Andrei Karpov 18 years ago – second place.
Earlier this year, Parnitsky managed to become vice-world champion in the U-21 age category – in the final standings he lost only to the aforementioned Przyemski.
