The category contested the eighth date of the year with two races at the Autodromo Juan Manuel Fangio.
The Top Race ran this weekend on the eighth date of the year in Rosario, with two competitions.
The first is from Di Palma
The first final was launched with Di Palma in first position, along with Guerra, Sapag, Azar and Capurro. While in the background there is a loud accident starring Reutemann and Bonnin. Due to this situation, the Safety Car entered.
The competition was relaunched with Di Palma at the helm, followed by Guerra, Sapag, Azar, and Rossi. Moments later, Guerra panicked and lost his position along with Azar, Sapag and Rossi.
On the eighth lap, Persia got lost. While Felippo, Ciarrocchi and Gastaldi went to the pits to refuel. Later, Aldrighetti also built Halcon Motorsport’s Lexus.
Towards the end, Sapag and Rossi came into contact as they battled for third place and lost several positions. The new third is War. During the last lap, Azar went to the pits and fulfilled the competition requirement. Sapag did the same.
It was finally victory for Josito Di Palma in the first Top Race competition in Rosario, followed by Guerra, Azar, Verriello and Facundo Aldrighetti who completed the best five.
Chance took the second one
Top Race closed its weekend activity with the second competition on Sunday, where Diego Azar took advantage of the great potential of the Lexus to win for the second time in a row this season. Aldrighetti and Ciarrocchi completed the podium.
The second competition of the day started with Di Palma at the head of the peloton, followed by Azar, who beat Guerra, Aldrighetti was fourth and Ciarrocchi was fifth. Moments later, Aldrighetti was the new third.
On the second lap, Di Palma and Guerra went to the pits to refuel. Azar is the new leader of the competition. With 19 minutes remaining, Rossi fulfilled the race requirement and returned to the track.
Moments later, Di Palma, at full speed, was ninth with the Fiat. Then, the reefer realizes Felippo and is eighth. In the closing stages, Ciarrocchi beat Aldrighetti to take second.
It was finally victory for Azar in the second Top Race final in Rosario, followed by Ciarrocchi, Aldrighetti, Verriello and completing the top five Ian Reutemann.
The next date of the 2022 season for the Top Race is on September 25 in Olavarría.
