Oreste Berta is one of the talented figures of Argentine motorsport and in his years he has shared experiences with the best drivers and well -known personalities from around the world.

“I had the fortune to be the trigger for the reunion of two greats in the world of motorsport: Juan Manuel Fangio and Don Enzo Ferrari” Berta told Carburando.
When she was traveling in Europe with Fangio, Oreste Berta was looking to fulfill a dream since her youth: to meet Ferrari. There is one detail, the great Argentine champion and Don Enzo Ferrari are separate. But for Quintiplue this is not an obstacle for Berta to fulfill her goal. They traveled to Maranello and Fangio waited for him at Il Cavallino restaurant, in front of the factory.
Berta came in with an engineer she knew and worked there and enjoyed a didactic tour of the mythical automotive plant. The employees bowed as they passed in front of the window of Il Comendattore so that Don Enzo could not see, as everyone was avoiding his bad mood.
But at one point he came out of his office and asked who the stranger was. Berta explains that she went with Fangio. Ferrari was surprised, he asked where he was. Because of the answer, Don Enzo’s path crossed with Berta’s and there Fangio and Ferrari met again, many years later. “They talked a lot and it ended well”featured Berta in her autobiographical book.
As a reward, Berta enjoyed riding in a Ferrari 275 GTB driven by the manufacturer itself. Despite Fangio’s advice not to ride Il Comendattore, Oreste did not resist the temptation and traveled the streets of Modena with Don Enzo at the wheel.
