Max’s ninth win this season in Formula 1
Overall leader Formula One Max Verstappen became the winner Belgian Grand Prix. This is the ninth victory of the Dutch pilot Red Bull this season.
Note that Verstappen won the qualification, but was forced to start in today’s race from 14th position due to the replacement of engine elements.
Verstappen’s team-mate finished second at the Belgian Grand Prix Sergio Perez. The third was Carlos Sainz from Ferrari, the fourth – George Russell from Mercedes.
Ferrari pilot Charles Leclerc finished fifth but received a five-second penalty and dropped to sixth in the Belgian Grand Prix final standings. Moved up to fifth place Fernando Alonso (Alpin).
Esteban Ocon (Alpin), Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin), Pierre Gasly (Alfa Tauri) and Alexander Albon (Williams) also finished in the top 10.
In the overall Formula 1 standings, Verstappen is 93 points ahead of Perez and 98 points ahead of Leclerc.
The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place on 4 September in the Netherlands.
