The Mendoza man raced Saturday in San Juan. He was accompanied by Agustín Canapino and Franco Vivian.
After overtaking Felipe Barrios Bustos at the start, Julián Santero took the lead and won the TC2000 Sprint at El Villicum. Accompanied by Canapino and Vivian.
The Sprint started with Santero leading the pack after beating Barrios Bustos. Third is Milla, fourth Llaver and fifth Pernía. These last few meters caught Llaver and the man from Mendoza lost his way.
Laps later, Canapino accounted for Vivian and fifth. Then, the champion continued his progress and was the new fourth in the Sprint. On the fourth lap, Pernía lost another placement to Vivian.
Midway through the competition, Canapino overtook Milla and became the new third part of the peloton. A moment later, Vivian also noticed the Axion Energy Sport pilot and moved forward.
With four laps to go, the Safety Car came in to remove Traut’s car. By lap 10 the peloton was back on pace with Santero in the lead, followed by Barrios Bustos, Canapino, Vivian and Pernía.
On the last lap, Barrios Bustos spun and lost several placements. In short, it was a victory for the Santero in the TC2000 Sprint at El Villicum. He was accompanied by Canapino, Vivian, Pernía and finished the best five Matías Milla.
Behind Llaver, Barrio, Ardusso, Barrios Bustos and Fabián Yannantuoni completed the top ten with Honda.
The activity for the TC2000 in El Villicum will continue on Sunday at 11.35, when the final starts.
