Real Madrid have confirmed the squad numbers for the 2026-27 season on their official website, the first campaign under new coach Jose Mourinho, with several changes among established players and new signings.
Marc Cucurella will wear number 17, the number previously worn by Asencio, who has switched to the number 2 left vacant by Dani Carvajal.
Dean Huijsen has also changed shirt numbers, moving from 24 to 4, the number previously worn by David Alaba. Number 24 goes to Denzel Dumfries, one of Real Madrid's summer signings.
Ivorian signing Yan Diomande will wear number 25, and Ibrahima Konate has been given number 16, previously worn by Gonzalo last season. Academy player Thiago Pitarch has been registered with the first team squad and will wear number 27.
Endrick has reclaimed number 9, the number he gave up last winter when he left on loan to Olympique Lyonnais in France. Carlos Espi has been assigned number 19.
