The joy of playing: the first inclusive rugby festival will take place this weekend

The initiative promoted by Old Georgians Rugby Club and Tarucas Rugby and sponsored by DHL Global Forwarding will take place this Saturday, December 17 at Saint George College.

Sport unites crowds and functions as a tool for social change that projects values, integrates communities and creates bonds that last a lifetime. This is precisely the driving force behind the first Disabled and Mixed Inclusive Rugby Festival 2022, promoted by Old Georgians Rugby Club and Tarucas Rugby. This initiative, sponsored by DHL Global Forwarding, seeks to demonstrate that rugby has no gender, race or boundaries that can bring it down.

The activity will take place next Saturday, December 17, at Colegio Saint George. “Inclusion is the fundamental strength of the world. Different capacities, visions, experiences and points of view nourish a world that requires collaboration and a will to face it. This is why we promote and encourage this sporting event because it is part of our spirit,” explains Alberto Oltra, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in South America.

Sport improves the balance between body, mind and spirit. In addition, camaraderie builds teamwork, essential to include more people who find in rugby a space of pleasure and integration.

“We bet that in this event, we will be able to discuss mixed abilities through talks; carry out practical activities to feel the emotion, develop demonstration games and a third period for entertainment” details Agustín Soto, player and director of the Old Georgians Rugby Club.

This great Inclusive Rugby Festival with clubs and experts is an opportunity to develop skills and exchange with experts. This activity has limited places, which can be accessed through the following link.
