The PS5’s DualSense Edge is an unnecessarily expensive (but very useful) joystick

I haven’t told any of my friends about it, but quickly I started noticing differences . That’s what I want to talk about in this post, but let’s start at the beginning first.

The DualSense edge of sony it is almost identical in appearance to the standard DualSense which comes in the PS5 box, but using it is an augmented experience .

In my experience, it was easier to write a head shot, settle melee combat or win after a duel with long-range weapons. Especially if you have already gone through the section “adjuston weapons and accessories.

In the case of FIFA 23, I tested some features in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) mode. I put L1 and R1 on the back paddles, to switch players and run. So I kept my fingers close to the L2 and R2 buttons, to protect the ball and score a place shot.

In FUT and friendlies on line It is useful, for example, for quick breaks with explosive forward acceleration and for alternating protecting the ball and shooting quickly with targeted control.

If the PlayStation 5 is where you spend most of your time gaming and you have the budget for a very expensive accessory ($219,990 in the Sony store ), the DualSense Edge is worth it .

It is designed to be worn and never have to buy a full control again. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve had it for a few months, it’s already withstood a fall without a problem, and I’ve read that Sony offers only one year warranty for Edge .

If you’re planning on buying it just to play FIFA, I don’t recommend it for any reason. . It is not worth it. The soul of the DualSense Edge is that of a player shooter .

Add to the line, the truth is that a “pro” joystick is not going to improve your skills, but it helps to organize your game better. Before you buy it, you must understand that Trigger and joystick sensitivity isn’t what separates a professional gamer from an amateur .

Now, did you need Sony’s first “pro” joystick for PlayStation 5? No, I really didn’t need it. But after using it to play some of my favorite games i have to admit i wouldn’t change it .
