Rugby World Cup: Malan’s scary injury against the All Blacks

The Namibian player suffered an apparent fracture of the ankle, much to the shock of the spectators. They took him off the field on a stretcher and assisted with oxygen.

Namibia he is not having a good time at Group A of Rugby World Cup 2023. The African team, who in their debut lost the match 52-8 Italy, now they lost 71 in 3 against the Everything Black people. But that’s not all, because of the center Le Roux Malan suffered a shocking ankle injury. The images shook the entire stadium.

Halfway through the first half, The number 12 tried to chase down the talented Beauden Barret, but he slipped and got his leg caught in the grass.. immediately, the player was left lying in obvious pain. Three minutes later, medical care had to remove him on a stretcher and give him oxygen (per protocol).

The action –apparent fracture– it was so brutal some protagonists hold their heads from the impression. In fact, the referee had a hard time seeing the situation as it happened. Namibia’s captain, Johan Weysel, gave Malan the most supportwho at 24 years old is playing in his first World Cup.
