Chilean rugby goes for gold: spectacular victory against the United States in the semi-final

The nationals will face Argentina or Canada in the definition this afternoon.

Chile will aim for gold in Rugby Seven. The national team dramatically beat the United States in the semifinals and will look to win gold on a historic Saturday for national sports at the Pan American Games.

A day that started in dream style with a gold medal in skating, two bronzes in table tennis and a silver in canoe sprinting. From now on, it is rugby which will seek to offer another medal to Chile.

It will be gold or silver, the big goal sought by a team that includes four Condors who participated in the World Cup in France. They came up against a strong USA in the semi-final and couldn’t find the answers for a long time to win the duel, leaving 0-12 at halftime.

With time running out, Chile reacted with two tries (including one converted) which left them with only one point of equality. This is how they faced the last play of the match, where they took advantage of the numerical advantage (the United States had a yellow) to turn the situation around. 15-12 and tickets for the grand final which will be played this Saturday at 6:10 p.m.
