3 regions with probable electrical storm for this Monday

Amid rain forecasts that began this weekend in part of the country, are extended until Monday with a series of weather warnings among which is the possibility of appearance thunderstorms .

The information was communicated by the Chile Meteorological Directorate given the conditions which also indicate precipitation, winds and snowfall, mainly in the south-central zone of the country.

Meteorology maintains warning of possible electrical storms for the evening of this Monday, September 30 in the following sectors:

• Araucania region on the coast, coastal mountain range and valley.
• Los Rios region on the coast, coastal mountain range and valley.
• Lakes Region on the coast, coastal mountain range and valley.

To the above is added a notice of normal to moderate precipitation which also applies to the south of the country Yes:

• Maulé region until early Tuesday morning in the foothills.
• Ñuble region until early Tuesday morning in the foothills.
• Biobio region until early Tuesday morning in the foothills.
• Los Rios region until Monday morning on the coast, the coastal massif, the valley, the foothills and the mountain massif.
• Lakes Region through Monday morning on the coast, coastal range, valley, foothills, mountain range, inland coast and southern mountain range.

At the same time, a weather warning is maintained indicating normal to moderate wind with possibility of white wind, for the central area.

The information considers the mountain areas, between the regions of Coquimbo and Biobío .

Furthermore, the regions of Maule, Ñuble and Biobío also have a wind warning for today given the conditions linked to the frontal system currently affecting the country.

In addition to other information, Météorologie has published an announcement of normal to moderate snowfall with risk of blizzard for the south-central part of the country.

Gusts affect the mountain range between the regions of Maule and Ñuble until the morning of Tuesday October 1st.

At the same time, on the morning of this Monday, the same condition extends to the Northern Subandian Patagonia of the Aysén Region.

In the event of storms, Senapre recommends that the population consider the following safety measures:

• Stay at home . Do not go out unless absolutely necessary.
• Avoid doing outdoor activities.
• Do not use metal objects like fishing rods, walking sticks, among others, because metals are good electrical conductors.
• Avoid proximity to metal bars wiring and electrical and/or telephone lines.
• If you are in an open field, avoid sheltering under trees .
• Do not come into contact with swimming pools rivers, lakes or sea. Avoid wet areas.
• If you are in a vehicle, stay inside with the engine off without a radio antenna and with the windows closed.
• Turn off cell phones, portable radios and GPS devices.
